Since 1910, The Altenheim Community has a long tradition of providing older adults with lifestyle options that offer freedom and opportunities to enjoy the many pleasures of life. The Altenheim was organized on April 12, 1910, by two local churches who purchased a twelve bedroom Victorian mansion in the heart of Indianapolis and modified it for community living in a home-like setting.
